Sweet corn and tomatoes are now ready at Hickory Hill Farm and will be available at our stand at the Harrisonburg Farmers’ Market starting this Saturday, July 30, 2016.
Our sweet corn variety is “Delectable,” a non-GMO sweet bicolor corn with large ears, raised with NO PESTICIDES!
We have red slicing tomatoes, yellow and yellow striped slicing tomatoes, and San Marzano paste tomatoes. Supply is limited at this time, but the abundance will certainly be increasing in weeks to come!
We also have garlic, raised with NO PESTICIDES. It is a freshly harvested hard neck variety with large cloves and excellent flavor.
We will NOT be at the market this coming Tuesday, August 2, but plan to be there every Tuesday and Saturday after that into the fall. We expect our supply of corn and tomatoes to increase in the coming weeks, and last into September. We also expect a good crop of concord and concord type grapes starting mid to late August, followed by sorghum molasses in the fall.
