Canning Tomatoes

It’s time to order your canning tomatoes! I have LOTS of the Celebrity variety of tomato, a classic round, red slicer that is great for canning. I have some nice seconds that have a little crack or insect nibble that I am selling for $1.50/lb (minimum order 10lb), while supplies last. I’ve also got plenty of perfect firsts that will be super easy for canning, selling for $2/lb (minimum order 10lb). Place your order by 8pm this evening for pick up at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market between 8am and 1pm tomorrow, or order any time for pick up at the farm in Keezletown or a future market day. Call or text Hannah at 540-269-6251 to place your order.

The picture below is a box of the Celebrity seconds. Not bad for seconds, right?

UPDATE 7/23/2022: THE BLUEBERRIES ARE ALL GONE AND THE BERRY PATCH IS NOW CLOSED.

Our blueberry supply is dwindling and our regular U-pick season is now over.

There are still good berries in the patch that are worth picking, and you are welcome to come pick any time on our self-serve honor system.  The price is amazing, so don’t miss this chance to stock up on blueberries to snack on, put in the freezer, bake some pies, or cook up a batch of blueberry jam!

  • There will be no staff present to assist you.
  • Upon arrival, look for instructions, buckets, and ropes on the side of the red shed.
  • Price is $15/bucket (one gallon). Please estimate for partial buckets.
  • Please bring EXACT CHANGE or CHECK as no one will be present to make change for you.  Payment is on the honor system.
  • Be sure to BRING CONTAINERS to take your berries home in.
  • You may pick wherever you like, and you will find the most berries on rows 1-12.  Look around a bit to make sure you find the best picking available.
  • Come soon!  With each day the birds and bugs eat more of the berries.

Thanks to all of you who came out to the berry patch this year and helped make the 2022 harvest a success!  We appreciate your support of our family business. See you in June 2023!
